I run the Enterprise tent at Winterton Show where we run a friendly competition for handicrafts, cooking, horticulture etc. We have an art section, mainly watercolours but there is no limitation on medium. We could really do with more numbers. I wonder – is there any way those attending your arts class could be persuaded to enter? Entries can be made very easily via our website, usually physical paintings/drawings need to be delivered to the tent on the Saturday morning but I’d be v happy to do a job-lot collection a few days beforehand and, of course, return the pieces of art. There is a Trophy for the best piece of art which is kept by the winner for a year. As I said, it’s a friendly competition, judged by a retired art teacher, it’s free to enter, there are no monetary prizes for adults.. The Show is always the first full weekend in July, if that helps.
